CAMP FOR RENT
Colorful, sometimes comical, but always
cozy, this 3-bedroom waterfront camp is nestled in the foothills of the
Adirondack Mt. In the small hamlet known as Owl’s Head. Mostly knotty pine
inside, it houses a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room
downstairs, as well as an upstairs bathroom with separate tub/shower room.
The three bedrooms have double beds, dressers, closets, and colorful
wall-to-wall carpet-squares added for flair. A second convenience area is
located on the porch, with shower and bathroom in separate stalls.
Aptly named “Murphy’s Mismatched Manor”,
our camp includes an 860 sq. ft. wrap-around, enclosed porch that can be
used as an additional sleeping are. The porch is all windows and screens
that allow the mountain breezes to enter. The porch is attached to the main
house, which includes an additional 860 sq. ft. of actual living space. On
the porch, 3 adjoining tables can seat 18 people. Extra tables and
accessories are available as needed. The porch is finished with 8 couches
and multiple chairs, all mismatched, that contribute to the ambience of this
rustic cottage. A meandering, wooded lane winds its way toward our private
refuge. The camp is surrounded by tall pines and hardwoods, with a
good-sized yard and a mountain stream that trickles through the forest
nearby.
Very friendly for either couples or
families, we offer this “no-frills-attached” getaway to be enjoyed
worry-free. If you prefer a carefree atmosphere that provides a working
kitchen, plenty of space, great swimming, a beautiful view, kayaking,
canoeing, biking, and all the other charms that a quaint mountain cabin in a
small Adirondack hamlet can bring, come visit Murphy’s Mismatched Manor. Let
the fun begin!
